I’ve been following the Toronto-based streetwear clothing brand Darkhorse for a good few seasons, their graphics are distinct and they have been improving every season. Until now I have secretly stepped out of the closet to express my interest, their inspirations and graphics are striking and creative. I get a very futuristic and robotic vibe from a lot of the graphics they’ve executed, which is right up my alley since I’m a fan of sci-fi films. The brand’s muse is Grace Jones a Jamaica-American model, singer and actress as seen on quite a few of their tees.
For spring/summer ’08 two of their graphics were heavily influenced by Metropolis and Hajim Sorayama, definitely hot stuff! I definitely can see myself rockin’ the entire women’s range, their stuff is def on point! The brand doesn’t just stop at tees, for next season they are expanding their women’s line to cut & sew, I simply can’t wait to see what they whip up! The S/S’08 collection is available at Cultist Shop, Overkill Shop and Black Rainbow Shop, cop ’em quick select tees are already sold out! Don’t sleep!
More pics after the jump…
