On July 2nd, a month after Yves Saint Laurent’s death, Christie’s is auctioning off seven pieces of the “fashion designer’s clothing and jewelry representing nearly every decade of his career. Auction include a 1958 cocktail dress for Dior and a 1970s Rive Gauche camel cable-knit sweater trimmed in fox fur similar to one former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis wore.” There’s already three pieces of jewelry up for bidding, a pair of mosaic-style multi-glass stone ear-clips, a metal chain link with black leather medallion necklace and a hammered gilt-metal ethnic-style necklace, bids ranging from $500 – $1200. via NY Daily News
