There were so many events and parties happening yesterday I wish I knew how to transport from one place to another. The first stop was to the Yohji Yamamoto and Y-3 joint store opening in the MeatPacking District. The Yohji Yamamoto store was simply amazing, the triangle shaped store was sliced from one side to the other to create a transparent look – I love the bricked walls. If you’ve decided on a piece, the salesperson will need to leave the store and cross the courtyard to get to the stockroom in the other building. The store features the women’s and men’s collections, accessories and Stormy Weather, Yamamoto’s jewelry collaboration with Mikimoto.

As for the Y-3 store, a collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, the 2,100 square foot shop is decked with products from wall to wall. The store sells apparel for women and men, footwear and accessories and the limited edition Y-3 “Nice to Meet You” Sneaker which is limited to 50 pairs exclusively in store only. This limited piece is made with Japanese denim from Yamamoto’s fabric atelier, retails for $500.
