A few weeks ago I headed to the NikeiD Studio to experience the new studio (I was there for the opening back in October) and to create a pair of unique kicks (thank you Nike). The vibe of the new studio is definitely different from when it was at the 255 Studio, this new setup at NikeTown feels more like a design studio (the 255 Studio it felt more like a chill spot). The design consultants are just as helpful as back then and they’ve given great feedback and suggestions.
The new options and NikeiD Studio exclusives are quite interesting, I’m loving the crinkled leather and also the tree-bark like leather as well. The only suggestion is adding pink to the color options, as of now pink is only available for the Dunk Low – I’m sure a lot of people would be use it in the other shoes as well. Something that’s not design related but found it cute is that they’ve gotten rid of the Voss water and is now offering NikeiD Studio water :).
The shoe I decided to create was the Air Classic BW since I don’t own any, they were available in women’s sizes. I’m quite happy with the outcome, I’ll take actual pictures when it arrives – I can’t wait! For now peep the pics after the jump…
