Betsey Johnson Parfum retails for $55.00, 50 ml
Betsey Johnson has jumped on to fragrances with her first scent, drawing from all different facets of her personality-resulting in a juice that has an addictive quality similar to that of Betsey’s fashion. The fruity floriental juice and the art deco vintage inspired bottle create an experience that is part boudoir pin up girl, part Pop Art rock star-and all Betsey. The bottle was 20 years in the making, originally based on a vintage bottle that Betsey picked up at an antique shop in the early eighties. She held on to it, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it for something of her own-and this fragrance opportunity felt like the one. The fragrance box is adorned with Betsey’s signature textiles. A leopard print that is synonymous with Betsey Johnson fashion, and a rose pattern that is the exact replica of the wallpaper that covers her boutiques and her New York City showroom.
- Colorful Audacity is expressed with juicy pear, tangerine, grapefruit and a tease of blackcurrant.
- Ultra Femininity is denoted with the heart notes of freesia and lily of the valley with a red apple accord.
- Sensual Signature comes into play with a dry down of cedarwood, sandalwood and praline combined with amber and sexy musks against an oriental background.
I am a person that likes to collect things, perfume bottles is one of them – especially pretty ones. I don’t always use the perfume but I get them when they come in pretty bottles, like this Betsey Johnson Eau de Parfum. The art deco vintage inspired bottle is just up my alley, it is so pretty I absolutely adore vintage things! I can’t even imagine using it, I’ll just be sad when the bottle gets empty, it looks good just as is, though the scent is very inviting – luv the fruity scent to it.
