The Scene
The romance of 1900s Paris comes to this small dining room steps away from busy East Burnside. Vintage chairs, cast-iron tables, gilded mirrors and silver candlesticks add to the shabby-chic decor. Lovers rendezvous at the candlelit tables, while single foodies chat with the chef over the open-kitchen bar. Dinners range from straightforward burgers to cedar-planked chicken or spiced squab with bacon-wrapped pork medallions. Inventive desserts include honey-apricot-bacon cornbread with maple ice cream. – Citysearch
Le Pigeon was recommended by B’s friend, so I went online to read the reviews and there were some great feedback about this spot. Went there for brunch on our 2nd day there, as usual if its a hotspot there’s tons of people, the funny thing is that the waitlist is on a clipboard nailed outside, you just put your name on there and wait to be called. Waited about 30-45 mins (lost track) and finally it was our turn, I was starving but the wait was def worth it. I luv’d the ambience and low-keyness, the food there was pretty damn good! If I ever go back to PDX I will try the dinner out too, def a spot to check out if you’re in town. Peep the pics after the jump…
