The Scene
The meeting of dramatic, wide-open space and a warm family vibe may be the key to Essex’s magic. Double-height, white-washed brick walls and skylights overlook sleek black tables and chairs, creating a sparse, clean atmosphere. At the eat-in bar, bartenders serve up margaritas and Manhattans with a flair that turns alcohol into an art. – Citysearch
Another one of those spots that I passby constantly, but never tried. It was def a bad decision…I took my mom there for Mother’s Day thinking it would be enjoyable, don’t get me wrong the food ain’t “horrible” but it wasn’t great neither. The atmosphere was pretty kewl with the super high ceilings. My mom, B and me had brunch there, it was overpriced and it was def not worth it when we didn’t really enjoy the food. I don’t recommend this spot and will not go there again! If you do plan on going there, bring cash I believe brunch is cash ONLY! Peep the brunch after the jump…
I had…The Deep South Chicken fried steak with biscuits, eggs & sausage gravy – I hated the gravy!
Mom had…Ham with Two Eggs
B had…Challah French Toast With bananas foster sauce & fresh fruit
