The Scene
Perhaps even more than they adore soba and udon, the Japanese love ramen noodles. So do impecunious college students, and it will be interesting to see how many undergrads can squeeze into this fourteen-stool noodle bar specializing in ramen and delectable pork-stuffed gyoza (the Japanese answer to the potsticker). Loud slurping isn’t only tolerated—it’s encouraged. — Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld, NYMag

This lil spot is right next to one of my favorite Japanese/Korean BBQ spot, Japanese Shabu-Tatsu Restaurant…the food is just as good. This spot is NOT good for big parties, there are only 14 lil stools for you to sit in and most of the time there’s a wait, but its pretty quick. I’ve eaten there once and went back for take-out, I’m a curry lover but the not so spicy kind, Japanese curry is near perfect. The food comes out super fast and its DELICIOUS! I luv this spot, def recommend this place and you guys should try the Beef Curry – its my FAVORITE! Peep the meal after the jump…

gyoza

edamame

my fave beef curry – japanese styled curry w/ rice, beef, potato

miso ramen – soy bean based noodle soup topped with beansprout (didn’t want), cabbage, onion, crispy garlic and scallion (didn’t want)
