The Scene
Clinton St. Baking Company & Restaurant has only 32 seats, but the kitchen dishes up breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch seven days a week. The small bar serves wine, imported beer, and special alcohol drinks, plus French roast coffee ground in-house, milkshakes made with Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory Ice Cream, and, in colder months, the wildly popular Hot Buttered Cider. The menu uses fresh, seasonal ingredients in its eclectic American menu. The result is classic dishes with a twist. The Clinton St. Baking Co. bakeshop uses the highest quality products, from natural flour and organic spices and herbs, to farm fresh eggs and dairy. – Citysearch
I was first introduced to this spot by my friend Diana, she was raving about how good the brunch is there so I decided to try it out with my mom and B. I already knew there was a long wait, since I live in the neighborhood B went down to put his name on the list and the wait was at least 1.5 hours. There were tons of people waiting outside the restaurant for their names to be called and was it worth the wait? I’d say yes, I luv’d the atmosphere even though its simple, sometimes less is more…the food was great and I enjoyed my brunch. B and my mom were so so about the food and thinks its a bit overrated, but if you liked my previous recommendations you’ll like this one too, I will def go back there…but be sure to get there earlier b/c you won’t be seated until at least an hour later haha…peep the brunch after the jump…
my lemonade…
mom’s grapefruit juice
B’s iced tea
fries for the table…yummy
I had…country breakfast — 12: 3 eggs any style, grilled “cure 81” ham steak, hash browns, buttermilk biscuit
mom & b had the same…(I think it was a special) Salmon with crispy potatoe pancakes
