The Scene
With its glowing bar and selection of specialty martinis, the Asian fusion restaurant resembles a Meatpacking District hot spot. Businessmen and artists flock to the hip bamboo dining room or the romantic red-velvet one, decorated with an aquarium. Chef Lulzim Rexhepi (Citarella, Kittichai) builds on his experience with appetizers such as wok-fried foie gras and Szechuan pepper-crusted sea scallops; entrees such as sweet-and-sour snapper and guava-poached short ribs; and for dessert, wok-fried bananas. – Citysearch

Thanks to Alison for lending me her battery, if not you won’t be seeing this review. I saw a review on Time Out New York on TV a few weeks ago and wanted to try this place out. And coincidentally, Alison made reservations here for Ben’s visit (from Jamaica). The food was so so very typical Asian food and it wasn’t cheap at all. I wasn’t too impressed about it and the service was extremely slow, may be b/c the hostess was the waitress as well, but she was very nice. The ambience was quite nice, simple materials but lots of colors. Peep the dinner after the jump…
