The Scene
Host Gerard Maurice rules the roost at this rustic French bistro on the eastern fringes of Soho. The simple decor features French doors, a pressed-tin ceiling and a wooden bar heaped with flowers. Out back, a large garden, planted with grape vines and vegetables, allows for dining under the stars. The menu features classic French bistro fare, like steamed mussels with French fries and hangar steak with a green peppercorn sauce. – Citysearch

I’ve probably passed by this place a ton of time but never noticed it. Ada suggested to take me, she tried this French restaurant out and was pretty pleased with it prior…she knows I’m picky heehee. Be prepared, the portions are HUGE, I couldn’t finish my meal and every dish seem to side with a big portion of fries haha. I am actually complaining about fries? If you see the dishes you’ll know what I’m talking about. Like I said I’m very picky of what I eat, there were no appetizers I liked, so we shared an entry as an appetizer…the mussels were yummy!! I def will go back for dinner again! Desserts at Eileen’s Special Cheesecake! Peep the meal after the jump…

Before – Moules Mariniere Pommes Frites Mussels in a White Wine Sauce Served with French Fries

After – Oh so YUMMY…I was practically full after eating 1/2 of this with Ada

What I had…I only ate 1/2…too full haha…but it was pretty good – Steak Pommes Frites Aged Shell Steak Served with French Fries

Ada – Steak Tartare Raw Seasoned Ground Beef Served with French Fries & Mesclun
