‘Oliver’ pumps from the Abaete footwear collection by Laura Poretzky
I can’t wait till this collection drops in September 2006, those pumps are DELICIOUS! Luvin’ all the colors up there especially the polka dots one! I definitely want all four of the styles that will be releasing: ‘Sky’ boot, ‘Oliver’ pump, ‘Casey’ flat & ‘Luke’ evening sandal. The Abaete Fall 2006 Collection is quite nice too!

Excerpts from LA Splash & FWD:
Embracing a contemporary partnership in the spirit of the Belle Epoch, Poretzky united with Payless ShoeSource®, launching the first-ever designer footwear collection Abaete™ for Payless.
Target is no longer good enough for the masses, it has to be Issac Mizrahi – or better still – Luella Bartley for Target. EasySpirit shoes? Only if Tara Subkoff designed them. Even H&M, the super-trendy, super-affordable Swedish brand that loves to knock off designers (and, ironically, that designers love to knock off), realized the amount of influence signing on designer powerhouses Karl Lagerfeld and then Stella McCartney would have on sales. Not only did it boost the company’s sales, it also increased the brand’s “fashion” credibility – if you can hook Karl, you can do anything. It also brought designer awareness to an all time high, thus raising the fashion bar for civilians all around the world.
The Abaete™ for Payless runway shoes feature four styles to complement the Abaete ready-to-wear collection—the “Sky” boot, “Casey” flat, “Oliver” pump and “Luke” evening sandal. Each silhouette design features a range of colors, fabrics, and stitching detail.
The shoes, which will be available at Payless ShoeSource stores in September, look like they could easily fetch the same amount as a pair of Louboutins, but range from $25 for a ballet flat to $45 for a knee high “Sky Boot” – prices anyone can afford.
