The Scene
Much as its name implies, this quirky Lower East Side eatery evokes a village. The sylvan interior features a wooden hut, fake trees, a canopy of leafy greens, and a large mural of a sun-dappled mountainside. A small juice bar, where employees grind slushy fruit drinks, sits near the entrance. Service is rapid-fire and businesslike.
Forgot to take a picture of the restaurant, so used an image from their website. Been there a million times for dinner b/c it’s so close by. It’s packed there EVERYDAY, unbelieveable, especially after 7PM. Took my gurl Cindy (visiting from SF) & her co-worker their for dinner yesterday night, so happy to finally see ya Cindy!! The food is ok, nothing amazing about it. But it’s one of the spots everyone hits up, so if you in the hood, you should stop by and see what the hype is all about…really it’s nuttin’ haha
More pics after the jump…
House Special Chicken (1/2) – One of the best dishes there, really like it! Must-have!!

Sauteed Snow Peas Leaf with Crab Meat – my favorite dish there…so juicy…
