Supreme Fall/Winter 2014 Lookbook

Supreme Fall/Winter 2014 Lookbook

For those of you that follow me, you should already know that I’m a big fan of Supreme. Supreme always brings the heat and even tho it’s a men’s brand, I’m all for it. I love wearing oversized pieces anyways. The Fall/Winter 2014 lookbook features skate pro Lucien Clarke wearing key pieces from the collection. For the new season there are several collaborators including: Schott, Ruff Ryders, Champion and KRS-One. So dope as always!

The Fall/Winter 2014 collection drops at Supreme shops in NY, LA and London on August 21st and in Japan on August 23rd. Following the store releases, their online shop will re-open on August 28th. Are you ready?

Max Mara Tailored Suit Project

Max Mara Tailored Suit Project

Max Mara launched a new Tailored Suit Project – a tailored collection which focuses on the jacket, aimed to satisfy the needs of its customers through highly tailored and adaptable garments. The Tailored Suit Project was inspired by the men’s tailored jacket but built around the woman’s body; its strength lying in the hand-sewn tailored precision. This project is aimed at women of all ages and especially meets the need of the business woman.

You can choose from a variety of fabrics like precious wools – heavier flannels, serges and lighter cool wools – in plain or light patterns are gently stretched to ensure maximum comfort, and run from melange grey to black, through to blue and camel. Now you can create the perfect jacket tailored to your taste and body.

Each tailored jacket takes 345 minutes to make: twice as long as a standard jacket. The process includes the use of an inner canvas, hand-stitching, and patient ironing that allows the Tailored Suit Project jacket to naturally fit the female body. There are four different style: single and double breasted, with different variations, including a tuxedo. To co-ordinate, there is a range of trousers, skirts, lightweight sweaters to wear under the jacket, and a crêpe de chine shirt.

Alexander Wang Summer 2014 Cage Installation

Alexander Wang Summer 2014 Cage Installation

If you’ve ever been to Alexander Wang‘s Soho NYC flagship store, you’ll know that every season they change the Cage installation. It’s quite amazing. The latest Cage installation features five marble print surfboards, exclusively created by leading Australian surfboard brand Haydenshapes for this installation.

The marble boards, typical for Wang’s aesthetic, are suspended from the cage wall, while a monolithic, large black wave sculpted from black sand looms occupies the space. The marble artwork was co-developed by Wang and Haydenshapes for this limited series. Haydenshapes founder, Hayden Cox, personally crafted each limited edition surfboard by hand for the installation.
