H&M teamed up with notable New York artist, Alex Katz to launch its second Fashion Loves Art collection on December 1st, during Miami Art Week. The limited edition collection features a range for women’s and men’s including accessories and home décor with some of the artists’ most iconic works. As part of H&M’s efforts for a sustainable fashion future, the majority of the collection is made from sustainable materials like Tencel® and organic cotton.
“We are excited to have created a collection with Alex Katz. The collaboration is a true example of how art and fashion influence each other,” Pernilla Wohlfahrt, Head of Design and Creative Director at H&M.
The collection is to be sold exclusively in the US in select Miami stores and on online in the US at hm.com.
For women, sheer and delicate fabrics have been mixed with organic cotton to create an effortless slip and maxi dress. The collection also includes classic t-shirts, a casual dolman sleeve sweatshirt, and a one piece swimsuit in bold colors and pastel hues.
For men, classic styles are updated with slightly heavier textiles seen in t-shirts and frayed hem sweatshirts.
