HTC launches two new innovative gadgets that will change the face of mobile photography. While upholding its heritage of presenting the latest and greatest in smartphone innovation, HTC presents the Desire EYE smartphone and RE camera.

Dedicated to helping customers “simply take the best selfies,” the HTC Desire EYE features one of the best front-facing cameras available on the market today. The smartphone’s camera is built for those that love taking photos with cool features like Face Tracking, Screen Share, Split Capture, Face Fusion, Live Makeup, Auto Selfie, Photo Booth and Crop Me In- really handy options. Its bold, bright and waterproof unibody design is not only stylish, but specifically made for instant access to great shots, even with one hand. Other features of the smartphone include three microphones to provide impeccable audio quality ensuring crystal clear voice and video calling, a stunning 5.2″ Full HD display and high-speed 4G connectivity.

HTC’s newest photography innovation, the RE Camera, re-imagines point-and-shoot photography. The small handheld camera with a cylindrical design, allows users to capture photography and video comfortably in the palm of their hand. The RE features a built-in grip sensor, eliminating the need for a power button, high-resolution 16MP CMOS sensor, full HD (1080p) video recording, 146 degree wid-angle lens and slow-motion and time-lapse recording. The camera is also waterproof out of the box (1 meter underwater for 30 minutes), without needing any additional casing or protection- perfect to capture some underwater action. RE interacts with your smartphone through the RE application, which syncs photos, videos and time-lapse recordings seamlessly over WiFi. This one we are anticipating to test out, sounds promising!

The HTC Desire EYE smartphone is available now exclusively at AT&T. The RE will be available at HTC.com and Best Buy, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and amazon.com just in time for the holiday season.
