PUMA teamed up with New York-based illustrator/designer Sophia Chang to create an extensive range of apparel and footwear for both male and female consumers. The collection was inspired by Brooklyn featuring Sophia’s signature illustrations on PUMA sportswear staples.
For women, the Track Jacket features a NYC skyline inspired all over graphic print that recurs throughout the collection. Other apparel items include: sweatshirts and pants, windbreakers and all-over print t-shirts. Footwear consists of the Basket, Basket Mid and the Trinomic Disc Wedge. For the men’s apparel there all over print and patterns, and footwear there is the Basket Classic, Basket Mid and Trinomic Disc.
The collection also consists of a unisex Sophia Chang Varsity Jacket and Backpack. The jacket is packed with details; including Sophia Chang designed felt logos, intricate embroidery and an all over custom illustrated print lining which nods to the rest of the collection. The streetwear inspired backpack comes with a top webbing carry handle with genuine leather trim, all-over hand-drawn graphic print and Sophia Chang signature Logo and PUMA Archive Logo both featured as a premium sign off.
The PUMA x Sophia Chang collection launches on Friday, September 19th, don’t sleep on it! So excited for this collaboration, love the illustrations and the play on colors for the jackets and outsole on the Basket Classic sneaker. So proud of my friend Sophia! Do you like?
