EDUN Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

EDUN Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

Monday, September 15, 2014 by Katie Kuang

EDUN’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection draws inspiration from the circle, a symbol of unity, balance and continuity which is represented throughout the collection. The symbol can be seen in the form of irregular circle printed hair calf, hand-stitched circle design and in tonal circle patterns on birds-eye jacquards.

The collection features a variety of styles conveying a 1960’s vibe. With A-line and tailored shapes paired with obi circle belts to emphasize the waistline, simple wrapping influenced by West Africa and Japan, clean cut classic cotton oxford shirts and graphic elements of stripes and halftones added as handwoven and silkscreen panels. Introducing indigo raw denim in the form of the Judo pant, a little flare is added to the luxurious pieces in the collection.

Tuareg inspired pieces like pendants with mineral stones, hair calf knitted bags with digitally printed and plated sterling silver handles accessorize the spring. The shoes were made in a special collaboration with Manolo Blahnik, a mixture of printed hair calf and transparent PVC uppers are seamed with a tic stitch detail.
