On Tuesday night, H&M and Maison Martin Margiela celebrated their collaboration in New York with a unique event held across 9 floors of 5 Beekman Street, a historical building in the city’s financial district. Lots of celebrities and models were in attendance including: Julianne Moore, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mena Suvari, Kanye West, Helena Christensen, Selma Blair, Alan Cumming and Chace Crawford. The venue was amazing, nothing like what I’ve experienced before.
As I mentioned before there was no fashion show, the collection was introduced in dance performances by noted choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker and through specially commissioned art installations by Frederique Chaveaux, Noemi Goudal and Daniel Arsham. Really interesting and artistic.
The collection is releasing on November 15th in around 250 H&M stores worldwide and online (see full collection and prices here). If you can’t wait, there’s a ton of products on eBay already (see below for listings).
