Chanel Soho Boutique Re-Opening Party with Karl Lagerfeld

The Chanel Soho boutique re-opening party was the event I was most excited for this fashion week. The re-opening took place a day before Fashion’s Night out with a star-studded party, all of the hottest celebs and models attended. Everywhere you look were famous faces, I was happy to see the Gossip Girl cast: Chace Crawford (super hottie), Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan, Diane Kruger, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Bilson, Liv Tyler, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Freja Beha Erichsen, Angela Lindvall, Chanel Iman, Brad Koenig, Baptiste Giabiconi (hot), and many many more. And of course Karl Lagerfeld showed up causing a frenzy amongst photographers and fans. His presence was everything…

Outside the store was surrounded by a huge LED canopy featuring a photo slide show of Soho By Karl, I’m especially excited about this because my neighborhood has been included in the slide show. On the opposite side were digital graffiti installation walls for guests to “tag up” using Chanel graffiti paint cans (there were sensor beams on the nozzle), that reminded me of the Fendi party I attended a few years ago in HK. As if that wasn’t cool enough, inside the store Alexa Chung was providing the tunes and guests were able to shop the new collection and enjoy cocktails. The bag bar was official, lots of bags I’m eying. It was a fun night, all guests went home with a signature silk scarf featuring the polar bear from the fall 2010 collection (see here).
