HP is no stranger in fusing the worlds of fashion and technology, last September they teamed up with Vivienne Tam to release a Mini 1000 Edition aka digital clutch featuring peony flowers and due to the popularity they’re releasing a 2nd edition inspired by the Chinese Butterfly Lovers story.

In keeping with the fashion world, HP today announced with Intel a product integration with Lifetime Television’s hit show Project Runway that makes HP’s touch-enabled PCs and notebooks an integral part of the creative process throughout the show’s new season. Contestants will have the option to use computers to sketch designs and inspire their work. The winning designer of season 7 will receive a $50,000 prize package from HP and Intel to create, design and run his or her own business. Project Runway season 7 will premiere tomorrow, January 14th at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Nicole Richie will guest judge.

“Technology is what’s next in fashion design. Forward-thinking designers are exploring new ways to use technology in the design process,” said Barbara Schneeweiss, vice president of Production and Development for TV and Feature Film at The Weinstein Company.
